A scientific meeting "Heavy Ion Stopping'09" will be held in Moscow in the period June 3-5, 2009,
in building 40 of the Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP), B.Cheremushkinskaya 25.
We cordially invite you and your colleagues to take part in the work of the meeting.
Topics of the meeting include the following research areas:
- Energy deposition in solids,gases and plasmas
- Effective charge and charge-dependent stopping
- Elementary processes by stopping; non-equlibrium stopping
- Straggling
- Applications in medical physics and detectors
Registration:
You may fill in the registration form on web-site Online registration,
starting from February, 1 but not later than on March, 1, 2009
All foreign participants should send us a copy of passport page with photo to organize the visa support and
admission to the territory of ITEP:
Conference Fee:
There will be no conference fee.
Proceedings:
There will be no proceedings! However, participants are encouraged to publish recent results related to this
meeting in the journal of Laser and Particle Beams, Cambridge University Press.
If participants are not ready to publish a full paper, they are invited to submit a one-page contribution to the
GSI report on High Energy Density Physics

We have reserved a number of rooms at the guesthouse of ITEP.
